Merry Christmas

Have a wonderful Christmas friends!

I can never resist sharing pictures of our little mouse. Darby was not too keen to see Santa this year but we were still able to catch some shots of her innocent little looks. This little girl has truly made all of my dreams come true. We cherish every minute of her!

This local Santa is a fellow we know here in Flin Flon by the name of Doug ... he is the best! His secret is that he wears a Harley Davidson t-shirt under his outfit. (Who knows though, maybe the real Santa does too!)

Darby is a big reason why I finally made the plunge and purchased a long arm quilting machine. I wanted to transition away from my work at the hospital and be able to spend more time at home. I worked very hard to become a nurse practitioner and will forever cherish my career but I have gotten to a point where I am sick and tired of being sick and tired. It isn't easy work. Most days after clinic I am physically and mentally exhausted. While I feel very thankful to have so many trust me with their care, many days, that care creeps outside of the clinic walls. It is rare that I can go to the pool or gym or be out for dinner when someone doesn't stop me for "just a quick question" or "I know you are not at work but ... can you look at this ..." I love my patients and love the money I make but at the end of the day, I choose Darby. I will never get this time with my little sweet sweet again and have to take advantage of every minute.

Once Darby came into our lives, everything outside of her suddeny didn't matter. I cried and cried at the thought of returning to work and leaving her. I need to be a fit, healthy, clear minded mom for her. Moving some work home has been a Godsend. Thank you to everyone that allowed me to quilt for them this year. I do my best to support small artisans and local shops and I hope you do too. Your business helps artisans like us pay for swimming lessons, little extras and allows us to pop some money away for school.  The money from very spool of thread you buy from me goes into Darby's pink piggy bank.

I am truly grateful for your business. I wish you all nothing but good health and happy moments in 2019! I hope you continue to trust me with your quilts in the new year and beyond.
