I have been enjoying a lazy summer! I have been busy reading, quilting and running after Darby! She is full of mischief! I have taken some time away from my blogging duty here and feel it is time to get back to it. I'm a bit shy with these posts as I am not the best quilt photographer. I'm sorry that I don't do much justice to some of your quilts. Some of you, I failed completely at taking photos and just wanted to get your quilts back to you as soon as possible! I have a lot to learn to this aspect and when it comes to having free time, I would rather be sewing!!
Maybe my sweet hubs will buy me a new camera for Christmas this year!
This is a really stunning baby quilt made by Lynn. She has a great style and usually has a modern feel to her quilts. They are very much up my alley!
Lynn designed this quilt for her new grandson. It is an original design and is pieced with lovely Alison Glass fabrics.
I used a light grey So Fine thread on the top and bottom and the panto 'Bayside' which Lynn requested. It looks like a warm wind. The charcoal cuddle makes the quilt extra soft!
I have a number of new pantos in stock and a fairly good collection of backings for your quilts. I carry a 90" Shannon cuddle in ten colors and five 108" wide cotton backs. I only carry Quilter's dream blend batting as I feel it is the best. It has a beautiful loft and lays straight when rolled onto the long arm. I am happy to take on some of your quilts this summer as I have some long lazy days on my hands right now. My 'real' career is of Nurse Practitioner and nursing educator. This is the first summer I have ever had off. Ever! Honestly, I have not had a summer like this since I was eight years old!
Here's to sunny days and sunburns!
